Formerly known as Smack Volleyball Club, Plus Volleyball Academy (PVA) was formed by Ali Oliver in Fall 2005. Ali is currently the head coach of the women's volleyball program at Whittier College and the assistant women's volleyball coach at Pasadena City College. She was the co-head women's volleyball coach and head coach of the men’s club volleyball team at Cerritos College in the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Ali has over 14 years of coaching experience at the junior high, high school, club and collegiate levels. She has also taught beach volleyball classes and trained up and coming professional beach players. Ali has designed a club to help teach young women the values of working hard, being a good teammate and pushing themselves to their limits.
PVA will offer teams for girls ages 9 - 18 and grades 3rd - 12th. There are CLINIC TEAMS that practice once a week and play inter-squad competition, LOCAL TEAMS that play a modified SCVA schedule and TRAVEL TEAMS that play the full SCVA schedule as well as out of state tournaments.
